we haven;t been hunting in the rainforest during a heavy rain storm in a long time... ..
.....and i really miss this.... of course you have to be prepared for it.... and camping on
hard high ground.... ...helps to dig a shallow ditch around your tent too.... carefully
crafted to divert any water that might build up.... and build a small shelter over your fire
... but not too small... ..with a slanted roof so the rain runs off....   and tall enough so the
flames don;t catch it on fire... don;t forget to throw a tarp over your firewood to keep it dry....

like i said...  you have to be prepared for this kind of rainstorm in advance... but it;s totally
awesome to camp in one when you are..... 33

and... if the places where you set up your hunting camps are secluded and not easy to
find by others... . you can make a more semi-permanent shelter for your fire... even
make it a little more elaborate... and you will be that much better off... ..it doesn;t
have to be as elaborate as this one... .but it does have to be functional.....

The Minstrel-boy to the war is gone,
   In the ranks of death you’ll find him;
His father’s sword he has girded on,
   And his wild harp slung behind him—
“Land of song!” said the warrior-bard,
   “Though all the world betrays thee,
One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard,
   One faithful harp shall praise thee!”

The Minstrel fell!—but the foeman’s chain
   Could not bring his proud soul under;
The harp he loved ne’er spoke again,
   For he tore its cords asunder;
And said, “No chains shall sully thee,
   Thou soul of love and bravery!
Thy songs were made for the pure and free,
   They shall never sound in slavery!”
