Here's a song that mixes old and new instruments. They lyrics are old Chinese poetry, and the music is almost new age with its 5/4 meter and arrangement.

Very beautiful. I used to have a Christmas album based on early instruments (I forget which century, but it was well before the baroque period). I wish I still had it. I have never been able to find it again.
