professional clowns around the country are voicing concerns over the new movie based on
the stephen king novel IT ..... they are claiming the movies depictions of evil clowns could
cause an unfair backlash against good clowns.... and perhaps even subject them to a kind
of occupational discrimination.... ....no signs of anything like a "clown lives matter" movement
developing just yet.... but the voices of concern are growing.... and in some suburban neighborhoods
around the country hoodlums are beginning to show up wearing evil clown masks to perform a variety
 of nepharious deeds.....  12

one professional clown recently interviewed said she has been entertaining children and adults
at birthday parties and other celebrations for decades.... ....but recently she has been getting
strange looks and intimidating stares from people when walking to and from her job appointments
she also recounts hearing car doors suddenly lock as she walked down the sidewalk on busy streets....
...... she says her main fear is that this may be only the beginning of a new kind of bigotry and hate
in the u.s. ......something moving beyond the usual clownaphobia and causing clowns to have to petition
for special protection under civil rights laws.. ....  there has been no word from the professional circus
groups around
the country yet... such as cirque du soleil....  but some speculate it;s because they haven;t
decided yet whether to fight
against the evil clown image.... or to build on it......  21

Its just like humanity to always blame their experience on someone else....

Personally, I have never understood the appeal of the "clown". I love to laugh but dressing up as a clown is a little "over the top" for me.

My kids were always afraid of clowns. It didn't have anything to do with IT. The creepy/evil "IT" clown pretty much is the reality of what people perceive to have always been there underneath. Smile
