remember .... oh.. about 10 or 11 years ago.... when someone close to me that had considerable knowledge on the matter said Facebook was one of the most dangerous websites on the internet?.... she said it was nothing more than a personal data and private information miner... masquerading as a place to make friends..... but designed to steal even the most secure information from your computer and make it available to whoever and whatever wanted it?..... including various government entities?.. ...... ........... .she said that trolls could easily manipulate the system and that there was virtually no security on the site to prevent or monitor that kind of abuse?.....and that in fact the way facebook was set up actually encouraged it?......

at that time facebook was already blocked from all computers on our household network...... and it still is..... .... i made it clear then that i was not and never would be a part of facebook... under any name..... ...... ......but i recently leanred after inquiring into the possible identity of a recent troll here, that there are actually several people on facebook impersonating both me and my sister....... and possibly other family members of ours as well....... and apparently a lot of people are believing what they say.......
you would think that with the recent scandals involving facebook and with the very same things my sister said about it over a decade ago being confirmed by recent events in the news.... that people would move away from it and start questioning some of what they see on it..... ....but apparently not..... .. back in the day we all used to joke about how addictive the old fighting fundamentalist forums were..... but it seems facebook is many times more addictive than those places ever could have been..... ... worse by far than even a starbucks frappucino..... 
oh well....... .....not that i should even have to say we told you so..... especially after all that has happened with it in that past 2 years.... ....so i won;t... .....

With the exception of one alias account, I have deleted all my accounts on Facebook with my real name. I may delete that one, too. Haven't decided yet.
I do have two alias accounts that won't let me log in because they're demanding proof my name is real. So they may still be active. I don't know. I can't log into them in order to delete them. I only created alias accounts so that I could post conservative memes, etc., without any blowback from my employer.
most of my friends who still have facebook are doing the same thing... ..... some of them quit facebook last year when zuckerberg tried to sue native hawaiians that owned property adjacent to a lot he had just purchased on kauai, in an attempt to force them to sell their property to him..... ...those hawaiian families had owned that property for generations....but it didn;t matter to zuckerberg... ..like most wealthy people he thinks everything he sees should belong to him..... .... ....he finally backed off after getting some negative media attention but the damage was done......his name is a dirty word among my native hawaiian friends here..... ......to us it only proved that he is the kind of person who will do anything he thinks he can get away with..... ..and that is not the kind of person who want to trust your private and personal information to...... ....
but now i am more glad than ever that i never signed up for facebook...... coz the things that have come out in recent days about how much information facebook has been gathering and storing on it;s users is even worse than any of us who never trusted it in the first place, ever imagined...... ..and apparently facebook is not entirely alone in this..... ..google and a few other online companies have been mining and storing information on users too..... .... i don;t know if they realize the damage they are actually doing to the internet and internet businesses.... they claim it;s all for the sake of better advertising and providing people with what they want.... ....with the ultimate goal of selling us something....... ..... but that;s a lie..... ..it;s really all about power and control... and abusing peoples trust to get it...... ..
Yeah, I've got a google account for my own domain name, and I want to cancel it. First I have to find out how to migrate all my emails to my own server. I'm sick of all these companies collecting data, and I'm sick of them filtering out conservative content like youtube now does (and facebook has been doing for years).
True story and I'm not a conspiracy person at all. I think most people know by now that I'm a technical person. I KNOW how things work....
However, to my surprise recently I had something happen to me that I didn't "think" was happening and it was "TOO MUCH" of a "coincidence" to not be one....
I was talking to a group of friends at lunch one day about a product that I had been considering buying several months earlier. It was just part of a general conversation we had over lunch.
I haven't searched for the product. Hadn't even mentioned the product or even considered it for many months. The VERY NEXT TIME, I opened my browser and went to a website where I wasn't "blocking ads".... I see THAT VERY PRODUCT on the page.
I'm beginning to believe that either Google or Facebook one is monitor conversation for key words to drive advertising....
Can you imagine what that would mean if they really are?
i was told years ago that the microphones and cameras on cell phones and computers could be turned on remotely even with the devices turned off... .... the claim was that the government had figured it out and one had to remove the battery or unlpug internet cables to prevent it happening... ....but recently i learned that government claim might not be true.... .... another account says civilian hackers.... long known for being much smarter than government employees anyway..... figured that out and relayed that info to the government in some very lucrative transactions.... and also a few plea bargains where hackers got caught....
.....i;m not actually a conspiracy theorist either.... though it might seem like it sometimes..... 
..but i do believe that the private sector discovers and develops far more in the way of technology than any government is capable of.... .. and they are usually the first to use it too .... ..unless the government can pay more for the technology than private companies can.... .... that;s something to think about where companies like facebook are concerned....
well.... i didn;t want to do it.... ... but i landed on part of the senatorial hearing with mark zuckerberg yesterday while flipping through tv channels.... and then got stuck on it.... 
.... ..i;m glad i did though ..... ... it was very educational... .. i also found it refreshing to see republican senators put direct and pointed questions to zuckerberg about accusations facebook pushes a leftist political agenda .... ... and watching zuckerberg twist and squirm through his denials told me the senators hit the nail on the head.... ........
of course it was also very disappointing to see one of my own senators from hawaii chiding zuckerberg about possible cooperation with immigration and customs enforcement investigators under the current republican administration... ....... ......as if she didn;t already know facebook cooperated with law enforcement investigators under the former democratic administration for years.......... and from the demeanor of them both..... and from the way he answered other questions..... it appears facebook is still cooperating with the democrats and their politically motivated endeavors even now..... ....zuckerberg as much as admitted he leans to the left in ideology.... ... and even implied when asked about censorship of christian and conserative viewpoints that he considers that ideology akin to terrorism..... ...... **(if you doubt that go back and listen again to his answers when asked directly about censorship of christian ideas)....
many members of the news media today are saying zuckerberg hit a homerun with his answers to the senate..... and i guess depending on their ideology maybe he did.. ... ....but one thing not mentioned during the hearing became very obvious as it went on...... had hilary clinton been elected none of this would be going on right now..... ... facebook has been campaigning for hilary clinton since the day she threw her ha- ... ummm pant-suit jacket into the ring..... and pushing for all things left wing democrat since it;s very inception through fake and twisted news items plus left wing liberal memes, posted by both domestic and foreign contributors ..... ...nobody cared..... ... and the only reason zuckerberg ended up in the hot seat now is because democrats discovered somene might have actually used the website to campaign for donald trump........
but when you boil it all down you see it;s all just more of the same outrage and thrashing about over the fact that donald trump won the election.... and all being driven by an exaberbating epidemic of trump derangement syndrome to try once again to overturn it....... .... .
over the past few days facebook... twitter... google... and even youtube have removed massive amounts of conservative content and blocked conservative users from uploading content.... .and especially if those users or their content has been identified in the past as having been supportive of donald trump... ... ....along with the main stream news media big tech social media has gone full kamikaze in the past 48 hours in order destroy donald trump and get the biden/harris socialist party into the white house..... ... ..
years ago when people communicated online through countless different independent forums... nobody could have imagined a day when their voices on the internet would have been censored... or that censorship of such a large and diverse group was even possible.... ... but then platforms like facebook and others encourage internet users both private and public to move all their online content to them, and virtually put all their eggs in one basket.... ..and to give them access to everything on your computer..... and here we are.....
many people... including one i am related to... voiced concerns saying it was dangerous and reckless... that the apparent convenience of it was not worth the risk it would pose.... and that those risks and dangers would present themselves in many different ways..... ways that could not even be imagined yet 10 to 15 years ago.... ..
well.... .here we are 15 years later and virtually all communication online goes through facebook or twitter.... all searches are controlled by google... and most all videos go through youtube which is owned by google.... ...american voices are being censored if they don;t fit the leftist agenda.. and freedom of speech is under attack everywhere we look... ..but being completely shutdown by facebook, twitter and google.... .
the only way any of this gets corrected is if we re-elect donald trump... keep the senate in republican hands and return the congress to republicans.... then repeal the statues that gave big tech immunity from the laws the rest of us are subject to... and the power to abuse that immunity without consequence...
and rest assured.... if i or anyone else posted what i wrote above on any of the big tech platforms i mentioned.... .it would be removed before the first reader even got to the end of the post.... ....
