new eruptions at kilauea after a few months of relatively slow activity.... it all started
yesterday after a series of small earth quakes around the volcano parks area....

kilauea erupting again .. new fountain of lava started 2;30 am
this morning... 12/23/2024
if you look at the video above now you will see the fountain of molten lava has slowed down a lot... .. but now we have clouds of vog - volcanic fog consisting of sulfer dioxide drifting towards us on kona winds...... ........ what we need most is rain to wash it down....... 
and last night kilauea roared back to life once again.... 7 days after it faded and came back
the last time....... this is similar to how it acted in 2018 when it sent lava into neighborhoods
below the summit and eventually into the ocean.... . many wonder if that will happen again...
we keep one of our tv screens on the live feed from kilauea 24/7.... and this is what
we saw on sunday may 25..... .it was the biggest eruption of lava so far in this current
cycle of eruptions that started last year.. ... the fountain of molten rock was well
over 1000 feet tall..... we haven;t seen that since the major eruption in 2018...
