could there be a better emotional comfort and support animal than a dog
named spot?.... who helps hunters protect livestock by delivering a much
needed dirt nap to some mangy coyotes?......
i think not..... .....that;s what i call a true therapy dog.........
so..... one might ask..... how could a dog that helps hunters kill coyotes possibly qualify as a therapy dog or comfort animal? .....and how could the comfort such a dog provides possibly be transfered down to the rest of us?..... ... well........ let me explain.......
when the numbers of these target of opportunity predators..(aka coyotes).. are reduced across the ranchlands........ cows are comforted knowing their newborn calves are less likely to be attacked and eaten by coyotes as soon as they touch the ground..... ...ranchers are comforted knowing they won;t lose money through excessive predation of their herd....... cattle buyers are comforted knowing they will be able to purchase some of those cattle for the market...... and the markets are comforted knowing they will able to provide beef at a reasonable price to the consumers.. ..... ...consumers... (aka grocery shoppers).. .. are then comforted being able to purchase that beef at an affordable price and feed their families..... .... which leads to people like me being comforted knowing i can sit down to a tasty steak dinner i didn;t have to trade my inheritance for.... ....
so in the end dogs like spot are doing us all a favor.... ..and providing far more real and lasting comfort than any fuzzy little mongrel, wearing an orange vest, that gets carried into a restaurant, grocery store, or on board an airliner, against both industry and u.s. health and safety regulations, in the name of being a glorified therapy or ptsd dog......... ...
yeah.... ..i know..... those are just my opinions..... based on my own personal beliefs........ . ... just like the continually repeated and often tearful comments of my friends and aquantances who think "emotional comfort" dogs...with or without official papers.... should be allowed to go anywhere people go, without restriction.... that eating meat will destroy the planet.... that coyotes are simply dogs yet to be domesticated..... ... and that any kind of hunting at all is evil........ are also just opinions based on their own personal beliefs...... ........
but anyway...... .... what do you think?...... ....do real working dogs like spot still have value in the world?....... is hunting evil?...... does eating meat threaten to destroy the planet?....... has the "therapy" and "emotional comfort" dog idea gone way out to lunch?...... and will all this leftist nonsense end up eating all our lunches in the future?...... .....
and.... if a dog.. who helps hunt and kill coyotes... can be a comfort animal to someone...
. .... can a coyote... under certain cirmcumstances... also be considered a comfort animal?..
... and could the same person see both as comfort animals under different circumstances?..
i say yes........ especially when the coyote in question is one who helps rid an urban
community of feral cats.......... ...
{video removed by youtube no doubt on request of anti-coyote - cat lovers.....
the visual reality of a coyote with a dead cat in it;s jaws is just too much
for them to handle....
}
of course that is certianly no comfort to a person who might be a cat lover..... ..
but to someone like me.. who despises feral cats and sees nothing but a killer of
native birds and filthy carrier of parasites and disease when i see one..... watching
a coyote dispatch feral cats is a true comfort........ ..
i guess what i am trying to point out here is that not every "comfort animal" is a
comfort to everybody...... ...one person takes a dog into a restaurant or grocery store
claiming he needs it for emotional comfort.... .. another person..... and most likely
several other persons... sees that same animal in a place it;s presence was previously
not considered appropriate and is suddenly made very uncomfortable..... ...maybe
even to the point of leaving the establishment... taking their business somewhere else....
...and causing that store or restaurant to lose money....... ........i know that, speaking for myself..
.... i have been one of those people before who walked out of a restaurant or grocery store,
due to the presence of an animal... i believe should not have been allowed there.... ...and taken my
business somewhere else......
so...... .. where do we draw the line?......... ..... or do we even draw a line at all?.... ... when
does one persons "comfort" come before another persons right to feel free from being made
uncomfortable ...or even free from being menaced by something like a dog in a restaurant... or
feral cats being encouraged to populate and destroy a neighborhood.... or being put in danger
by the driver of a car having a dog in their lap positioned between them and the steering wheel?....
does anyone even care anymore?...... ...
in a classic tactic that hungry coyotes looking for pet dogs to eat are well known for...
a single coyote... (obviously an omega of the pack).... gets picked by alpha coyote to
go out and make noise... in attempt to get pet dogs to chase him... and lure them into
the woods where the whole pack of coyotes can jump them together and kill them...
but to his dismay.... omega coyote finds out what he thought were pet dogs are highly
trained decoy dogs.... working to lure him and other coyotes into the rifle range of an
alpha coyote hunter...
.
now this is what i call a genuine service... therapy... comfort... whatever
you want to call it - as long as you don;t run him off.. dog.. a sheepdog
named casper, who single handedly... or is it single pawed?... fights off
and kills a pack of coyotes in the line of duty - protecting his owners sheep....

a trio of comfort dogs keeping ranchers and the cattle herds comfortable by helping
hunters kill the predators... mangy coyotes... ..i know.. i;m bad... and some of my friends
hate me for this but i love these kinds of videos... and i would be out hunting coyotes
too if it was possible... . dogs have a heart of gold... but coyotes have no heart at all
... they could be the mascot for democrats if they didn;t already have the donkey....
the alpha coyote had the baby antelope in it;s mouth... but the dogs spoiled the
coyote dinner plans... and kept them occupied away from the antelope until the
hunters put an end to wiley coyotes predations....
The world's best therapy dog is the one in the movie Puss In Boots: The Last Wish. If you haven't seen it yet, please see it. It's available on Netflix now, I think. One of the only GOOD movies in the past few years. Very family friendly. Voiced by Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek.
