The Fighting Fundamental Forums

We saw the movie today.  I was actually very skeptical about the movie, given the premise.  I expected to leave disappointed because I don't like to see superhero "good guys" fighting each other.  But it was actually a really good movie.  Very well directed.  Great action scenes. 

When I read that Tony Stark (Iron Man) was on the side of government oversight, that seemed like it just didn't fit with the character at all.  But they made it fit quite well using backstory from the previous movies.

(No nudity, and I don't think there was any foul language.)

I went and saw it Thursday night. The theater was packed....

Great movie. Better than I expected. I'd rank it second on my list of Marvel movies behind the first Avengers movie. I really thought Black Panther stole the show.....

I really enjoyed The Dawn of Justice DC movie. I know the critics didn't like it.... I'd even rank it slightly above this movie.

There were a couple scenes with foul language but it was over quickly. Black widow crack a gd once.

Yeah, the theater was packed here, too, even though it was the noon showing.  We had to sit way up front.  

Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man, Deadpool, Avengers, Captain America: Winter Soldier, and this movie are my favorite Marvel movies so far (not necessarily in that order).  The funny thing is I was a big fan of Iron Man, Spiderman, and a few other Marvel comics as a kid (I never liked DC).  Captain America was not one of my preferred heroes.  But CA's movies have been great.  

I was never a big X-Men or Thor fan, and I haven't liked those movies much, either.  Some of the original Spiderman movies were pretty good, but not GREAT.  

BTW, I never bought a comic book, but I had boxes and boxes of them.  My uncle worked at a newsstand, and he'd give us all the unsold comics when they were out of date.  I had so many comics, I'm sure I've had some nobody has ever heard of.  I wish my parents hadn't thrown them away.  Some are worth thousands of dollars today.  I think I had Fantastic Four 1 through 12.

One of my favorite Marvel comics was "Not Brand Echh", which was Marvel making fun of Marvel characters.  I'll never forget one moment when Thor says, "I'm Mighty Thor!"  And the person replies, "I ain't feelin' tho good mythelf."

Loved what I've seen in the trailers, so I'm really looking forward to see it this coming Wednesday.

I should have mentioned: Fantastic Four was one of my favorite comics as a kid. All of the FF movies were TERRIBLE, though. I skipped the last one because I had no confidence it would be any good, and after reading the reviews, it looks like I was right.
