Yes, I'm Starlifter on the other forum, but I like this moniker as well.

awesome!.... welcome to this forum....
... .....i can;t even log in at the other one any more... i have been trying to for a long time now, but the format has changed to something very user un-friendly.. ..and the log in screen never comes up.... i finally gave up on it several days ago....i have been curious ever since i saw your avatar at the other place.... .did you use to fly on starlifters? .... the reason i ask is.. before they took them out of service... we use to see the C-141s take off and land here at hickham afb all the time.... the base shares the reef runway with honolulu international airport... ..but now the usaf cargo jets we see are usually C-17 globemasters... and occasionally a C-5 galaxy... ..i walked through one of those during an open house at hickham several years ago.... pretty amazing something that big can fly....

They were bringing the C17 on line soon after I got out of the service in 1989.
Today, I'm an active member in the Civil Air Patrol and we are stationed on an Air Force Reserve Base that has C17's and KC 135's.
I too have tried to get on the old forum. Something really is catawampus over there.
Glad you are here. I'll visit more often!

being close to hickham we see a little of everything flying.... .it was even better when i first moved here and barbers points nasb was still open.... and kaneohe marine base flew jets daily.... ..back then barbers point flew the P-3 Orions on daily submarine patrols... and kaneohe had a squadron of F-18s stationed there.... .. but only hickham flies fixed wing aircraft now... barbers point was turned over to the state of hawaii for native hawaiian housing.... and kaneohe now operates V-22 Ospreys.... which we also see a lot of....
