a few miles from where i live.... and in sight from our lanai and windows.. japan
attacked pearl harbor and brought the united states into world war 2.....the attack
officially began at 7;55 am... but japanese planes and mini-subs were already active
around the island attempting to knock out air and sea defenses....

this news story from hawaii news now is showing a live broadcast of the ceremony held
at pearl harbor... . in past years we have attended that... but not this year.. ..
