was trauma medicine in the middle ages really as bad as movies would lead us to believe?
....maybe not.... apparently doctors and medics on the ancient battle field had more tools
 and skills at their disposal than modern people are aware of....  and yet... it was still 
primitive compared to modern standards.....

a little more information on how medical knowledge progressed in the medieval age....
important to remember is that many of these early medical pioneers were burned or
hanged by both catholics and protestants for doing the very things required to learn
such medical knowledge.....
