I remember back in the day, the old FFF was hopping. I thought that at one time, this version of the site was hopping as well...but I'm finding it very quiet and quite lifeless? What has happened?

There have been multiple FFF forums since the one Andrew ran for several years was sold and the new owner ruined.
None of them have been as popular as the original.
What was your former handle at FFF?

There are several old forum users at the alternative forum to this one. I don't want to post the URL but you can find it easily by googling.
It is long story but we had a "falling out" and most of the former forum users are over there. We do have Aleshanee which is the "best" of the group....
She is having issues connecting right now and I'm trying to figure out why. My apologies. I don't participate here very often anymore. I might need to do it more often.
Either way, it was good to meet you. Thank care and Glorify our Lord Jesus Christ in all you do..

thanks admin!..... i just now got back after being locked out for a couple of days........ ...but to answer brother tony.... .. facebook took a lot of traffic away from all the internet forums a few years ago.. ...i refused to join it.... . but a couple of deep sea fishing and hunting/archery forums i was one years ago are completely dead now... everybody went to facebook groups instead...... ....those old forums still come up on my browser.... but it has been years on both of them since anyone else even logged in.... ......hopefully that will change now that facebook is having problems and people are not trusting it anymore...... ... ...but i guess we will see.......

I know that I've been put in facebook jail several times over the past four months. I'm checking into the possible class action suit against them and the "fact-checkers" because of the notices they put on things that equate to defamation of character. They tell you you can appeal certain decisions, like posts being deleted and the like, but when you do, the algorithm comes back and agrees with them. Then they say you can further appeal to an outside "fact-checking" organization, but they stymie that process. I've got around 100 pictures on my phone of screenshots of their idiocy. The attorney told me that I have a pretty good shot of winning my lawsuit if I file...and if I did, it wouldn't be for just a couple of thousand dollars. I would love to see FB go down in flames. That's one reason I came back here. Even in the Southern Baptists on FB, the former owner/developer of this site (name, I guess) Don...has become ridiculous. But, that's another story.

back when facebook first started up .. over 15 years ago... i was looking at it... because my sister and i had both just deleted our myspace accounts... but she told me even then to stay clear of facebook... ..she said it was nothing but a data and information miner designed to dig into your most private personal information... ...basically glean every bit of information from your computer...... she also said it had the same basic set up as a government data mining program called life-log that was designed in early 2000s as a way to track citizens by luring them into joining up, and thus making available all their private info to anyone in the government who wanted to see....life-log never went into operation... it was cancelled ...
but then.. on the very same that life-log ceased operations... february 2004.... facebook started up.... ..of course gutenberg denied any association with life-log, or the government... and pretended not to know anything about it.... and anyone talking about it after that was called a nut-job conspiracy theorist...... ..but the coincidence in all that was too much to ignore... .. so i took her advice and stayed away from it. ...plus she also took the extra step and actually banned it from our household network...
since then everything she said about facebook in 2004 has been proven true... .plus things much worse... they can now censor opinions and political views of people users they don;t agree with..... . and gutenberg has revealed himself to be nothing but a power hungry maniac who doesn;t even try to hide that fact from the rest of the world..... he will do anything to make himself richer and more powerful... ...i don;t think even the government officials who created life-log imagined they could do all that....

i know what you mean about old friends changing after being on facebook for a long time.... ....i have friends that were once close as family who no longer talk to me due to fights they had with other people on facebook... and because they know i am likely to agree with what those other people said...... ..i even had a former friend call me after trump was elected to say she wished i was on facebook so she could unfriend me...... ....i started laughing so hard i couldn;t even finish the conversation..... and she hung up the phone... ..
