What is a "vegan" to do?

"Necessity" often define true convictions......

the thing i noticed about vegans a long time ago...  is they never stay true to their professed convictions..... every vegan i have ever known cheats from time to time and eats all kinds of things which... according to their dogma....  threatens to unravel the fabric of the planet.. and send it spinning off into oblivion......they do it when they think nobody is looking or noticing them.... and if you really want to see a vegan cheat just follow them around on vacation....    ........ 

but by contrast the vegeterians i know are very true to their convicitions....  ...but then they also don;t make their dietary choices based on what they think is good for the planet.... they avoid meat based on what they believe is best for their own personal health.... .most all the vegetarians i know are relatively healthy.... ... but i don;t think i know any truly healthy vegans.... 

but the thing about the op question... is this.....  the same grains...(like corn)....  that go into making non-fossil based fuels are also vital in making the feed fed to cattle in the stockyards to fatten them up for market.... ..corn is also a mainstay in chicken feed.... that other alternative meat we are all supposed to switch over to when cortez and company drive the beef industry to extinction.... ..corn is also vital in making feed for hogs raised for food...... and forget about the fishing industry.... they are trying to drive it out of business too..... 

crab grass and dandilions.... with grubs and earthworms serving as their main source of protein.... that;s all they will be left with when it;s all over..... ....must be why all the looney left wing survival shows are so popular right now.....

i never heard that one before....  "eating eggs is chicken abortion".....  .... but i;m not surprised... ....  i wonder if vegans realize if every egg laid hatched into a chicken.... the world would be neck deep in chickens in no time......

i rmember when the department of land and natural resources asked us to shoot svelts as often as possible... to help reduce the wild pig population..... . .. i didn;t know what a svelt was at first.. but then on our next hunting trip my sister told me it was a juvenile female pig ..not yet of breeding age....  .......so i put an arrow through one......  and almost cried.... especially when she teased me about just having shot arnold from green acres...... ...... 

but then at dinner that night i realized the svelts were the tasiest of all wild pigs......  ......so now we shoot them when ever we see them without a second thought..... .... on a positive note to that they are much easier to carry down the mountain trails and out of the rain forest that a full grown boar is.....
