I never attended HAC, but my father had back in the late 70’s

He told me stories about his time in HAC and how he almost got expelled for being in the “Roadway Gang”

One story I was told was how they kidnapped someone put the person in the trunk in and drove them several miles out of town on an interstate road and dropped them off for them to walk back

I would like to know more about this gang and any more stories good or bad

I have learned that when something complicated happens, there is usually more than one reason. So here is a partial explanation of what happened: Joe definitely had the gift of teaching. While other teachers wasted our time with chapter divisions, Joe actually taught Scripture. And while everyone else taught the same few doctrines over and over, Joe taught things that none of us had ever heard before.

Is there anyone here who actually took classes from Joe and would like to comment?]]>

Recently, John Wilkerson preached a six-point sermon about how wonderful HAC is, and four of his points were blatantly false. And all four points MIGHT have been in response to the FFF, which has made an issue out of all four of them.

My wife and I are IFBs who serve in a Godly soul-winning Assemblies of God church here in Mexico. Neither one of us is a charismatic. The local district consists of about twenty small, struggling AOG churches, whose pastors and families are sacrificing to do God´s work. With about eighty people (we had 94 this week) we are by far the largest in the district, and are one of the largest AOG churches in Mexico.

I told him about a live church-planting conference that will be broadcast on the web on May 19. All of the speakers have started large, successful Bible churches. It is aimed at church planters who cannot afford to go to big conferences. But he explained that the AOG has a church-planting conference every two months, and it is well-attended. Yes. By pastors of small, struggling AOG churches.

Listen to non-charismatics who have founded large churches? Try to learn from someone outside your own camp who is being used by God? Nope.]]>

Over and over again, Paul commands us to love one another. He devotes entire chapters telling us to use our spiritual gifts. But he never commanded us to go soul-winning.
