...... but this ride is not nearly as exhausting as the 114 mile ride coming up next week...... .... only the hard core riders make the full 114 miles every time we go..... . my core group of friends and me usually stop in haleiwa at the 70 mile mark... eat a big meal then take a bus home....
..... but that ride is always followed by a full day of rest the next day....... for me anyway...... .... the hard core riders could get off their bike and run 26 miles immediately afterward...... plus swim 2 miles before they even get on their bike...... ....... they train for those kinds of ironman triathlons..... ........... but as for me?......i;m still out there just to have fun..... ....... and even though it;s super long rides it really is still fun......... for now........ ......i;m sure that will change one day.....

..... i can bicycle all day long - but running is a different story... and i would be lucky to make it running 1 mile...... ...but my room mate thinks she can do it..... .......of course she knows once the race starts our triathlete friends are going to take off and leave her behind.... but she says she will consider it an accomplishment just to finish.... even if it;s last place....
