Pastors are too cowardly to preach the truth about tithing

I know what I consider to be "good men". They all have the same problem. I don't know one single pastor that will preach the truth about tithing. They may acknowledge it. They may admit it behind closed doors....
However, they WOULD NEVER, preach against the corruption of the tithe today.
It really ALL comes down to one simple reason. "The money". They know if their members knew the truth....
1. There salaries would, best case, probably have to be reduced.
2. They would have to do what they are doing now, with less money.
3. They would have to face the fact that they have been lying to their congregations for years. Which would result, in less money.
Now I know, some have made their life's work the ministry of the Gospel. They couldn't work a job doing something else. I hate it for them. I do.... However, the truth is the truth. If you don't care for the truth, then you have a problem with God Himself. God loves the TRUTH. There is no lie of the truth. There is no LIE that issues forth from God.
The teaching of the "tithe" is a lie. Its not even a "good standard" of giving.
First, just because you have a church somewhere, doesn't mean you should have one. Just because you're a leader of some church somewhere, doesn't mean you're a leader. This generation and every generation since the death of the apostles has a very real problem.
Far too many people are self appointed to positions they are not gifted to perform.
I had a friend tell me a story last night of his experience at a few local churches in the area. I could almost tell him the same story before he said a word. It happens over and over and over again. Ministries may start on the "narrow path".... but they all seem to end the same.
Some persons.... somewhere.... starts making it about the money. Sooner or later, money makes it way into every sermon. Next comes the sermon on authority and OBEYING.... your leaders.... The "pastor" hires a friend as "associate pastor". They both build huge houses with huge mortgages.... before you know it... you have to have at least $10,000 a week coming in to make "ends meet". No wonder all you ever hear about is MONEY!!!!
Bottom line. Pastors are too COWARDLY to tell the Truth about tithing. It'll hit them were their heart is..... their wallet.
