Seasons

The writer of Ecclesiastics talks extensively of "seasons". Jesus spoke of seasons. The apostles spoke of seasons.
I've heard much said about "seasons". Most of it true. We go through "seasons" in our lives. However, there is a truth that is commonly missed in the discussion. To hear the average teacher/preacher speak.... you would almost believe..... seasons come and go very regularly in our lives. That we shouldn't be concerned with the various situations we experience in the seasons of our lives. That is "all in God's plan".
Often, it only becomes an excuse to act badly in this "season" of our lives. However, that's not even remotely true.
If you've noticed how God set the seasons in this earth, I think we can learn something.
The closer you get to the center of the earth. The less you experience the "seasons" affecting most of the earth. I think the same is true with us. The closer we get to the center of God's purpose for our life, the less "seasons" affect us.
When you live around the equator. Its no longer about cold or hot, or much of anything in between. There is really only "wet" and "dry" season. When we get close to center of God's purpose in our lives. Its really only becomes an issue of "wet" or "dry". Water throughout the Scriptures has always been symbolic of the work of the Spirit of God. The empowerment of the Spirit of God. When we get to the center of God's purpose, we should be focused on the empowerment of the Spirit of God. The fellowship of the Spirit of God.
I think if we be honest, I don't think anyone has much of problem with God when they're living in the rain of God's fellowship. Its those "dry" moments that often leave us wanting.
I guess what I'm trying to say is...... the closer we get to God. The less our environment affects us. I'm not saying it doesn't. I always will to some degree. However, isn't it much better when we are in perfect harmony with the "lover of our soul"?
Season? We need God.....
