How to Benefit from this Information
“The more authority an isolated person has to make decisions, the more chaos will result.”
The teachers at Bible colleges are generally a Godly lot, but their isolation (and the isolation of their leaders) makes them unqualified to train people for the ministry. Therefore, you should not be listening to their leaders.
The leaders of the KJO movement tell us that they ARE the IFB movement. Using out of context quotes, they tried to show that Charles Spurgeon was KJO, when he clearly stated, more than once, that new translations were a good thing. They claim John Bunyan, author of Pilgrim’s Progress, was KJO, not realizing that he preferred the Geneva Bible over the KJV. They teach that Jack Hyles was a KJO hero, when Hyles took his church from over 40,000 to less than 6,000 after turning KJO. These leaders tell us who to read and trust, without telling us that they have appointed leaders in the past who later went to prison for sex crimes.
Calvinist preachers spend four years studying the philosophical concepts of Mani and St. Augustine, trying to blend Christianity with paganism. The doctrine that God forces innocent men to sin and then holds them accountable, that God has a sincere call and a hypocritical call, that the “world” means the “elect,” that “all” means a minority, etc., are parts of the chaos that Calvinism has produced among God’s people.
I actually had a hard time going against HAC until the Jack Schaap scandal broke. By keeping the Dave Hyles and Jim Vineyard scandals in operation, HAC continues to block much of the blessings of God.
The influence of these leaders has already produced a lot of harm—you don’t need to listen to or fear them.
