The Scriptures do tell us everything we need to know, including the fact that the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, and that we need virtues like wisdom, discernment, etc., to know what to do in a specific situation.

Well. I have a few questions and observations for those that believe this.....
1. Why give humanity the Spirit of God if the "Scriptures" are enough?
I don't care who you are. You can just about find a Scripture, somewhere, that will justify your own actions. In fact, there are plenty of examples of contradictory actions taken by equally Godly people under similar circumstances.
For example,
Under the exact same circumstances.......there is time to remain silent, yet there is a time to cry aloud. There is a time to cry and there is time to stop crying. There's a time for patience and a time for swift action.
Without the Spirit of God, you can NOT know WHEN.... to be either. When is often as important as how or why..... Sometimes, its more important.
2. Sometimes, Words are just not enough. I know you might think that's a little "over the top" but its true.
I know the Word of God is different. However, what good is the word "peace" of you don't LITERALLY experience it?
What good are the Words...... "peace of God" if you can't feel it?
