Just curious. I honestly think most millennials do. If not all of "Generation Z"

not really.....
....... i would say i don;t believe God is half as nitpicky as most people are..... or more accurately... He;s not as nitpicky as people who think they speak for God are ..... ... but i do agree that a lot of people in my generation seem to think God is nitpicky..... ..... .personally i believe that is because they haven;t learned yet to seek out God on their own... or in many cases were actually discouraged from doing it.. ........... all they know of God is what members of the older generations tell them.... and sadly much of that older generation is often too nitpicky even for themselves.... .... and ironically they are usually also the same people who attempt to discourage younger people from seeking God on their own... or without their help.... ...... ... ..telling younger people instead to just listen to what they say and accept what they tell them about God and about the things of God..... and to not ask questions ... ......... .............. by doing that these people actually make a god of themselves...... and unfortunately many young people are either not able to separate the 2 from each other in their minds, or else they have become so turned off by the continuous nitpicking of elders with a god complex, that they have walked away from both God and church entirely... and no longer care..........
not sure i explained my thoughts on that very well... or that it made any sense... ........ .....must be a low biorhythm day....

Not at all. "for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose."
There's nothing I can do on my own steam to please God. There's nothing good I have that God did not give me. And there's no limitation I have that was not ordained by God. So there's really no room for nitpicking.
Some church-goers do nitpick. When one is persistent enough, I usually say to him, "You're right. Virtually anyone could live my life better than I can." -

I'll chime in here, with a confession. I suppose someone might call God "nitpicky" when He says in John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. But the truth is that God is not nitpicky in the way we humans are.
Here is my confession: When my son was young enough that I could require him to attend church with me, I required him to wear dress pants/shirt instead of jeans/t-shirt. "But, Mom, all the other kids wear jeans". "Yes, I realize that, but you own better clothes and can wear better clothes to church to honor God". I placed my own idea of what is appropriate attire to attend church on my son. I claimed my "preference" was God-honoring. But, in truth, I doubt He cares what anyone wears to church. It's not the outward, it's the inward that matters!
My son no longer attends church. No, I don't think this mistake on my part caused him to abandon church. But I would be honored to sit next to him in a service no matter what he chose to wear!
Frankly, I still struggle with being nitpicky in certain areas. But I do pray daily for deliverance...before I sour anyone's perception of what it means to be a Christian...
