Ministers HIDING.....

I've challenged a few ministers recently in different areas on what they preach. When do things like this, invariably, they will get defense and claim I should have come to them personally and "talked to them" in private first......
Well. I can tell you. I've done this many times over the years and these people "LOVE" to keep things "private"..... They can... and do... PUBLICLY... talk about anything and everything that comes to their mind..... Yet they demand you come to them in private....
I began to study just what does the Scriptures declare about dealing with such matters.
1. Well, first off. We must deal with
Mat 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
Mat 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
Mat 18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
Mat 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
These people love to quote Matthew 18. However, they misapply and twist what Matthew 18 tell us. Matthew 18 is about civil disagreements between brethren. Not criminal matters and not the message of the Gospel.
We someone criminally trespasses against you.... under criminal law.... Don't let anyone quote Matthew 18 to you. Call the POLICE.
Matthew 18 has a very specific context. It has NOTHING to do with false doctrine or the actions of "ministers" in public matters.
2. What does.... the Scriptures have to say about a minsters message?
Before I answer that question.....Lets makes some observations
Jesus never went to the Pharisees .... "privately" before exposing their false doctrine. Never. Neither did the Apostles. Jesus, nor the apostles held back when it came to preaching against their false doctrines and sin. In fact, Lets look at Luke 18:1-3
Luk 12:1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Luk 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Luk 12:3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
And......
THAT IS EXACTLY what Jesus did. Jesus EXPOSED.... PUBLICLY.... the hypocritical, inward workings of the ministers that ruled the Jews during his Advent. He didn't ask their permission and He didn't seek to "make amends" for what He exposed.
3. What about a minister's life?
1Co 4:9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
Ministers/preachers are notorious for maintaining an entirely different life in private than they do with the public and those that call them pastor/preacher/minister. In fact, they will lie, steal and ridicule anyone that tries to say any differently.
Anyone that wants to be a minister...... should expect to have their life exposed to the public.
To sum this up......
Ministers are Hiding by Scriptures they manipulate to hide their own less than stellar lives. Don't get me wrong. We all have issues. I'm not advocating sinless perfectionism from anyone. However.....
Anyone that ministers publicly have no foundation to call for private consultation when they face scrutiny of their message.
If you're a leader and reading this..... Let me give you some advice.....
Good.... Godly people.... don't mind being corrected. Paul withstood Peter's hypocrisy and made it public show countless millions have read about his actions.
Some more advice..... if you're going to preach something as being the Gospel Truth....... then get it right...... or expect to be corrected. Your ego can't stand in the way of the Gospel Message of Truth.
Too often times these people want you to believe they are bold, roaring lions.... when they are nothing more than cowards hiding behind Scriptures they manipulate and selective apply for their own devilish purposes.
