Fluffy Books written to Inspire but Distract

I must admit. I can't stand fluffy preaching. Just can't. It's bother my for as long as I remember. First and foremost. The Truth is more than enough.... but when a person romanticizes and embellishes the Truth of the Gospel with there "flare" and "flamboyant" rhetoric.... I just want to say something....
I was reading an exert from a book by a prosperity preaching "mega pastor" and it really bothered me. This guy had to the nerve to try and depict what was going through the mind of Christ after the resurrection. As our Lord awake from the tomb and wondered around the garden smelling the flowers..... "the flowers smell great after you've been dead for three days"........
I mean, just where do these type of people get this junk????
I imagine I should have expected no less. When you start reading a book and it begins with quotes from various well known figures in Christian circles..... praising the author.....
You can expect some "junk" to be heading your way......
I've reminded of....
1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
