  I wish people loved Jesus more than their pastor. 
  I wish people loved their spouse more than their pastor. 
  I wish people loved their children more than their pastor.
  
  Love your pastor... but realize what's more important. 
  
  Your pastor isn't your mediator. 
  You pastor isn't your ruler.
  
  In fact, if he's not a servant. Then he's in the way!
  
  Most pastors enjoy ruling over others...

  the more i see of what has happened in fundamentalist circles.... and what is now happening in many of the non denominational churches that claim to have rejected the legalism, and spun off from fundamentalism ..... is that they not only have an over zealous "love" for their pastor... that exceeds their love of God and family... but some actually seem to worship him.... ...they fit almost exactly the description i heard someone say about fundamentalists many years ago.....  their christianity is built on fervently believing in the spirituality of someone else.......... and i see that being true for both those who spun off and remained in what some would call arminian churches.... and also those who moved towards calvinism....... .... except that the "pastor" the calvinists are more likely to love and worship is one who has been dead for over 500 years... and was famous for burning those who disagreed with him at the stake......
