I plan to buy this book so I can become a perfect Christian.
The first chapter includes this great quote (and footnote):
Quote:What is a perfect Christian? We asked three biblical scholars and theologians this question,* and in our extensive research, we found that a perfect Christian is one who conforms to the man-made standards of the Christian faith in any given age.
* There is a chance they were all cult members in a remote compound in Idaho, but they seemed like pretty nice guys, so we are confident they are correct.

i read the first chapter... ..... but i knew they weren;t serious right from the start when i read the preface, and saw that all scriptural quotations in the book were taken from the NIV... ....
.... everybody even close to those claiming it;s possible to be a perfect christian knows that to achieve perfection all scripture reference absolutely must come from the 1611 KJV... .. 
but even so.... ..i still failed most of their other criteria right from the first paragraph of the first chapter right down to the last.... .
......oh well..... guess i can;t be a perfect christian..... 
....even judged by quotations from the NIV..... ...
