The video was good. I agree with the vast majority of it. However, the guy that ran up on the stage shouting is just as wrong as the ones he's complaining about.
Let me first say..... I agree completely.... that....
There is but ONE BODY. One. This is expressed clearly in the Scriptures.
Rom_12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
1Co_12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
Eph_4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Col_3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
There is but ONE BODY.
We are members one of another. In the singular BODY of the church collective.
It really is sad how modern church assemblies pervert and distort the record God gave to us in the Scriptures. There is no authority apart from the Scriptures. We are all chargeable to the Scriptures and our Lord Jesus Christ alone. I have only ONE Master and it's not some "MOG" down at the local church.
I know some people in the "ministry" that have come a long ways in their life in concerns to man made doctrine. However, their biggest problem still exists. They still think that God talks to them and has placed them in a position of authority over others. They'll throw around verses like....
1Co_12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Eph_4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
To which I say wholeheartedly.... AMEN....
I'll add...."You're right and their words are right in front of ALL OF US to have in the Scriptures".
This modern age CAN NOT quote verses like we read in 1 Cor 12 and Ephesians 4..... AS IF... they divinely corroborate or establish the validity THEIR ministry. In fact, that is exactly what is wrong with the guy that ran on stage..... He feels like he has AUTHORITY and HE has it RIGHT... and everyone else is wrong. He is just as much a part of the problem as everyone else is.....
This MODERN AGE can not claim the authority of the 1st century church.... IT DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE. Its GONE......NO ONE HAS IT. NO ONE!.
This type of fighting is doing nothing more than move one disciple following a man..... to another disciple following a man. The only thing that changes is the supposed MOG. (Man of God). Its all about power and influence. Its all about WHO is in control. If you take the "CONTROL" away, people go crazy.
1. The "modern church" wants someone to tell them they are perfect just the way they are.... "in Christ".
2. The "modern church" wants someone (the MOG) to BELIEVE for them.
3. The "modern church" wants someone in control or to BE in control.
4. The "modern church" wants everyone to be just like themselves.
5. The "modern church" is in it.... for what Jesus makes/gives them and not for WHO Jesus IS!
Paul meant what he said close to two millenials ago.
Php 2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
Php 2:20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
Php 2:21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
Can you imagine all the people Paul had at his disposal and there was only ONE that he could trust. Only ONE that would NATURALLY care for them? HOW MUCH MORE..... does the problem exist today. The message of the Scriptures isn't....
See Jesus in ME.....
Its just See Jesus from the Scriptures. It is HIS Story. Not OUR story. Not some MOG's story. We have only ONE Master. I don't want to be the master of anyone. I don't want people following me. I don't want their money or their praise or their respect or even their unwavering friendship. I can't believe for someone else. I just want to make mankind chargeable to Jesus Christ. That's it.
Like I said. It IS HIS STORY. Not Mine....... My story will be told by Him one day. What He says about me then......will matter. Not another.
