  i;m christian and i enjoy life.... ...i would never try to describe myself as being mature in the faith..... but i was taught to not be afraid of living life to the fullest.....  ..... and yet i know people who believe christians should not enjoy life at all... ... they believe the christian life should be a continual struggle over shadowed by suffering and pain.... .. and if life doesn;t automatically cause you that suffering and pain then you should do something to bring it about yourself......
  
  personally i don;t understand that belief system.... ...i believe it;s more important to do all we can to help relieve the suffering and pain of others rather than fret over whether or not we are getting our fair share ..... ... because for one, serving God by being a help to others in whatever way we can, is one of the things that makes the christian life enjoyable..... and if doing that is a struggle - then... in my opinion.... there is something seriously wrong in the soul.... ....

  I don't think to enjoy life has anything to do with religion. It's a matter of perspective. For me, at least.

  Shouldn't our perspectives be based solely on truth? If this is true, you must consider religion. Which involves authority and establishment of authoritative truth. 
  
  I find no real value in living from an perspective that isn't based in reality. That is exactly how society finds happiness apart from God. They choose to live in a fantasy world that never really deals the absolutes of reality. They get to pretend most anything they want is true. 
  
  Such thoughts are empty and fleeting.
