weapons of a medieval common archer

besides the obvious longbow and quiver of arrows... what other weapons did a medieval
archer in the ranks of the english army carry with him and know how to use?....
thanks to hollywood movies many people think of medieval archers as hapless carefully
micromanaged extras on a battlefield, that only had one skill... and who could do nothing
but run away when the enemy charged down on them or when they ran out of arrows...
but the truth is very different from what many people think....

Ukraine's Military Bases Destroyed By Russian Missile

The deadly missile barrage, which devastated a base northwest of Lviv, drew the conflict close to NATO’s border and showed Moscow expanding its war effort to parts of Ukraine that so far have escaped bombs and shelling.
Attacks against such shipments would bring Russia and NATO closer to direct conflict — a scenario that NATO’s chief and the White House have repeatedly said they want to avoid. According to Ukraine’s defense minister, foreign instructors had worked at the base near Lviv, although it remained unclear whether foreigners were among those killed in the attack.
At least 35 people were killed and more than 130 injured in a Russian missile attack on a base in western Ukraine, just ten miles from the border with Poland. kh-47m2 kinzhal.

The P-47 Thunderbolt Was The Ultimate WW2 Multi Role Aircraft

There was a time in the Second World War that America didn’t quite have the military equipment to take on the axis powers.
When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, its A6M Zeros were much more agile and potent than the United States P-40 fighters.
The P-40 was a solid aircraft though with good armor, but it also wasn’t the best against more advanced German aircraft such as the Focke-Wulf 190.
Soon, though, America began to catch up with aircraft such as the P-51 Mustang, but another of its incredible aircraft was the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt.

black powder firearms ... gunnery as an artform...

i always said the only kind of guns i think i would ever be comfortable with is black
powder muzzle loaders.. ...to me it seems like more of an art form compared to the
science of shooting modern guns.... .... (when i teach archery i use the same
comparison between the science of shooting compound bows versus the art of
shooting traditional stick and string bows)...
and, similar to the case with traditional bows, the art form of black powder
shooting is more than just the artistry and skill one must obviously have to know
how to properly prepare and load these guns.. and make an accurate shot... but
the firearm itself is a work of art as well...
at this point i don;t have any plans to actually acquire a black powder firearm and
start learning about it.... but i still love to watch these videos....
what is your experience with black powder muzzle loaders?..... does anyone here own a
muzzle loader or have spent time loading and shooting one .....
