Does anyone remember when it was a thing for men with hairy chests (back when a hairy chest was considered manly) unbuttoning their shirts almost down to the waist? Add a gold medallion and the look was complete. Yuck.
There's a current trend for women wearing jeans or jean shorts to unbutton the waist button and leaving the zipper half unzipped. So tacky, IMO.

Here's the irony. I'm on the diabetes plan for the Nutrisystem diet. The good part is that it's working. I'm losing weight.
The crazy part is that some of the snacks are ice cream sandwiches, orange cream Popsicles, cookies, popcorn... I'm eating more sugar and carbs on this diet than I ever would under normal circumstances. I never ate any of those things before Nutrisystem. So weird.
The reason it works for me is that I don't have to count calories or track things with a Weight Watcher style point system. I just open the right package, eat it, and get on with my day. Even the things I add (vegetables, yogurt) are easy to work into the daily diet. I tap the entries on my phone and it tells me how many calories I ate that day. I'm always under the limit.
But if anyone on here is considering Nutrisystem, let me warn you, most of the food is terrible. Fortunately, you can get an idea of what you like from the first order, and then pick the stuff you like most for the next orders. It's also expensive, but not as expensive as gastric bypass surgery. It's not covered by my insurance.

certified all purpose service monkey... shown here ready to save it;s owner from drowning.. ... should the need arise......

The first month was about $450, but once I figured out how to make my own substitutions, I got it down to about $260 the next month. I simply tweaked my order and my wife made my breakfasts the second month. She makes great scrambled eggs (1 full egg, 1 white, mushrooms, green onions, 1 tsp oil) which equals the same calories as the Nutrisystem breakfast. My wife has her hands full now, so I added breakfast back in and it went up to about $340 this last month.
The trick is to keep your eye on the deals you get offered in emails. I added breakfast back in through one of their "buy 30 egg/turkey sausage muffins for a low price" deals. And I canceled all shakes, since I never use them. In other words, you can learn quickly how to keep costs down if you pay attention.
