Sunday School Lessons?

  Why?
  
  Sunday School for children is just the local assemblies attempt to indoctrinate children. Plus, you can buy the "school lesson" in most churches and read it all in just about one "sitting".......
  
  Real study....... takes time. Takes effort. I takes actually learning something instead of just repeating it..... so you can put off "childish things".......

  i have heard preachers say many times that christian families should have a time to meet together several times a weeks and have what they called "family alter"..... ideally led by the father in a family who would read from the bible and discuss what it teaches....... ..... i have always thought it was a great idea until it occurred to me that things like sunday morning sunday school.... sunday night training union ...wednesday night services plus all the other weekly meetings churches advocate and often demand, probably take both the the time and the place of family altar or bible reading time families might have if those extra services and meetings didn;t exist....  ......plus..... like you said.... most of those lessons taught in those meetings are prepackaged and prewritten by some outside source who is not even familiar with the church where they are being used....... ....
  
  in other words.... over saturation of indoctrination in a world where demands on a persons time from school, jobs and other business is continually increasing leaves little time to be set aside for something that most people might think is being repeated somewhere else......
  
  not sure any of that made sense.....  .. but all that being said... i actually love the sunday school class i attend every sunday morning at a church i;m not even a member of..... .thankfully the 2 churches are close together and i can walk from one to the other.... but the teacher of the sunday school class is an elderly hawaiian auntie and teaches it in the hawaiian language mostly..... sometimes english..... .... she also comes up with the lessons on her own...... teaches whatever it is she feels God has laid on her heart to teach..... ....

  Its nice to be around gifted people. You can tell when you find them. Most will not admit it because they'd have to recognized they're surronded by many teachers that don't have a single ounce of a gift to teach from God......

  i think most of the people trying to sell themselves as great teachers.... (and even some who try to give away their non-talent for free)..... probably became enamored in the past with someone in a teaching position .........someone who possessed abundant personality mistaken for real teaching talent... ... ...and who many thought were great simply because of the following someone with great personality gathers.... .....
  
  today in their minds they want to be that person.... ..some even imagine they are, and see themselves as haven taken that teachers place..... ..they want to bask in the glory they think that "great teacher" enjoyed.... .......
  
  but good teachers are rare...  the ones who truly have a gift from God to teach.... .. some of the best ones i have known did not even know they had that gift.... ..or if they did they were so humble about it that it didn;t occur to the people they spoke to that they were being taught... .. until after they walked away and realized they had just learned something... ...
  
  ..... as with all true servants of God....  it;s not the servant that gets the glory for his service... ..any more than we glorify the vessel that holds the water we thirst for..... ...we are grateful that it;s there and prepared to be of use..... but it;s God for whom the glory is due, for working through that vessel and delivering to us what we need... ..........
