I agree with you on IFBs' man-made standards. The doctrine that man-made rules are both the cause and result of holiness is contrary to Scripture. But as an IFB, I am allowed to reject unscriptural doctrine, even if most of the group accepts it.
I attend various churches in my local area. No. I do not completely their other doctrine. Basically....I try to go to I can't put up with it anymore.
I honestly don't see any IFB church that practically applies the teaching of "soul liberty". They may talk about it. They may pretend they believe it. When it comes right down to it.... They'll ask you to leave if they find you don't support their teachings. -

An SBC church pretty much made it impossible for me to stay simply because I don't believe in pre-trib rapture.
I thought, seriously? They're going to make that an issue? But they did. -

Rogue, most successful AOG churches have found ways to get around their obligation to believe that speaking in tongues is the evidence of the filling of the Holy Spirit. But occasionally, someone in my church makes an issue of it. I calmly ignore it.
