over a year ago ..on the other forum.... i said that if republicans and other conservatives did not start taking this election seriously and nominate someone that a majority of amercians could accept....rather than rabidly pushing for someone as controversial as trump....... that all they would end up doing was to guarantee a democratic victory on election day which.. because of the supreme court vacancy... would also have disastrous effects in our county for decades to come......
i really really hope i was wrong about that....... and since he did get the nomination.. and since a vote for a 3rd party candidate is nothing but a vote for hillary clinton.... i did vote for trump today......... and for the sake of freedom and decency in this country i really hope he wins............ .............but we won;t really know until the polls close and the numbers start coming in..... ..... -

I was right about NC and wrong about Colorado. I'm glad he won. I hope he changes Washington. I don't know if he will but I couldn't vote for her.

well... i for one am very happy to admit i was wrong - wrong - wrong about donald trumps chances to win the election.......
... ...... and i;m also very happy that millions of others who i am sure felt the same way about it i did, went ahead and voted for donald trump anyway... then hoped for the best..... ... ....... and i agree with you..... there is no way i could have voted for clinton..... ... .....but now we will see what trump can do.... ...... if he becomes the president that gave his acceptance speech last night then i think he will do great..... ..hearing that was like finally seeing the side of him we all hoped was there.....
but that wasn;t the only good thing that happened last night....... .... republicans also maintained control of the house and the senate......... so for his first 2 years at least there should be very few obstacles in his way to prevent him from doing exactly what he said he will do..... .....appointing a supreme court justice who respects the u.s. constitution should be among the first things he does.......
