Were we worth saving?

I saw this video recently and it reminded me of a theology espoused by many Baptist. I know Jason Crabb isn't a Baptist but the attitude in this video is problematic.
The truth of the matter is.... Grace is just plain Grace. Its all God. I think it is a HUGE mistake to somehow think that God's diving action in humanity..... somehow means that we were "worth it". That somehow we find meaning or value in being worthy of God's choice.
The truth of matter is..... we find our identity in Christ. Not ourselves. Our Identity in Christ is one common to all those who have called upon the name of the Lord. In other words, our Identity isn't unique. Its one with Christ.
Too many people are looking to be "special". Or "unique" in Christ Jesus. They don't mind tell you that they are and you'd better notice it.
No my friend. You've just made it about yourself at the expense of Christ and all those other children God loves.
