Running from the enemy.....

You hear it all the time. Someone preaches a sermon about what some character from the Bible did.... and encourages you to not to run from your enemy. Well. I've got news for you....
Elijah ran. He should have ran. Abraham went down in Egypt to avoid the famine. God protected both Elijah and Abraham. Sometimes, we should run. The only way to tell the difference is through the Holy Spirit. Why should any of us rely on what God told someone else to do in a specific situation? God leads.... His own.. Personally. Sometimes its run. Sometimes its stand still. Sometimes its fight. Sometimes its don't say anything. Somethings it shoot it from the roof tops. God put all these difference scenarios in the Scripture so we'd rely more on Him guiding us directly.... than trying to be like someone else. If you look hard enough, you can find almost any situation you want to find in the Bible to justify your own actions. You can. People do it all the time and end up in situation that God didn't want them to end up in..... You're not Elijah. You're not Abraham. We are who we are according the plan of God. That is why we should be "careful for nothing" and through "prayer" let the "peace of God" rule our lives and give us the direction we need from Him. NOT..... searching the Bible to find an example where someone did something... that we want to do.... to justify our own desire. Its more important that we do what God wants US to do. You'll only find this through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. People don't want to hear this but its the truth. People don't want to do this because its hard. Because it takes time and effort. It takes experience and it involves losing ourselves in Christ Jesus. We want someone else to stand in the pulpit and tell us what to do. I've got news for you. There is only one person that has that information and that's Christ Jesus Himself. You can get it straight from Him....
