I had a friend that always told me that my mind was like a "steel trap". I didn't forget anything....
I finally got old enough to admit he was wrong.
I just can't remember things like I once did...
However, I do have some very fond memories. Memories I cherish. Things that give me hope and encourage me to the fight the good fight of faith. I remember a dear lady that at one time sang the most beautiful rendition of "Oh what a Savior". Not because it was technically astonishing but because she meant it.... and you could tell so easily that she deeply loved Christ. It has stuck with me for 30 years. I still whistle the tune from time and I can still hear her voice.
If a forgetful man like myself can remember such... how much more can God never forget our labors of love for Him?
Heb 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
It seems as if modern theology endless centers around the ideal that "praise" is the ultimate form of adoration we give to God.
Its not...... The ultimate form of adoration we can show God.... is to be just like Him.
He deserves it!!!
He'll NEVER forget it!
