the u.s. military loves to take every opportunity to display the F35... (aka fat amy -
aka flying potato)..... in efforts to continue assuring the public that this mulit trillion
dollar debacle that can;t hold a candle to the F22 and which lost every dog fighting
contest done so far to both the F16 and F18 - (which it was supposed to replace)....
.. was a good idea.... ...interestingly enough this jet was also supposed to do something
not achieved by another u.s. fighter since the F4 phantom 60 years ago - and that was
to take up the position of mulit role front line fighter in all 3 branches of the service
using fighter jets... the navy... airforce.. and marines..... granted all 3 of those branches
of the service now have F35s.... but it;s a long way from filling the shoes of the F4 phantom
...... and it;s doubtful it ever will....
i didn;t know until i saw this.... but turkeys airforce is still flying F4 phantoms
..here they are making low passes in the turkey mach loop.... . pretty amazing.....
