but... as awesome as the new F15X is.... ... the cold hard fact is the U.S. government
should have built more of these.......
cancelling the F-22 program was just one of the many ways the obama
administration made america weaker..... and more vulnerable.... ..
a close up look at the flying potato...... aka the trillion dollar program produced..
F-35 stealth fighter.... ....which to this day, still has failed to defeat the much older
and much cheaper F-16 in mock aerial combat..... ... but which the developers say
will nonetheless be better able to survive the aerial battlefield of the future than any
of it;s predecessors... .. ....hopefully we will never have to find out..... ...
..
on a side note..... the program to develop the F-35 ended up costing billions more
than the program that developed the F-22... .. which was cancelled.... per the obama
administration..... due to it;s enormous expense.... yet the F-35 is far less capable in
the air than the F-22..... (which can defeat the F-16... as well as everything else in the air)...
... and has yet to show it can perform the ground attack mission as well as the A-10...
.. which the air force badly wants us to believe it can do.... .....and which it hopes the
F-35 will eventually replace...... ...... ..
hopefully we will never have to find that out either..... ..

believe it or not..... the new F-35 stealth fighter...... which the u.s. is offering for sale to
certain friendly countries... actually has competition... sweden says it;s saab gripen
while not stealthy... is nontheless every bit as capable as the F-35.... and for a much
cheaper price.. .. .. plus they say it;s ability to operate from existing paved roads
and to be serviced in the field gives it some significant advantages to the F-35... .
awesome in-cockpit view of the saab gripen in flight.... i almost got dizzy
watching this on a big screen tv..... ..but the thing i was really amazed by was
what could be seen from the rear view mirrors on the upper left and right of
the canopy....i have seen videos of fighter jets with read view mirrors before...
but i don;t remember ever seeing an image that clear in one....
so... in summary....and from what i gather after seeing several of these saab gripen promotional
videos.... swedens message is this..... .. if you are in the market for your very own fighter jet -
and you have been looking around at the ones which are currently available..... .... but you consider
the technology of jets like the mig-17 and f-5 tiger too outdated.... . .. and jets like the f-35 is way out
of your price range...... consider the saab gripen.... ....no...it could never defeat an f-22 raptor in aerial
combat... not even if it had the f-22 out numbered.... but then what fighter in existence could?..... but
the gripen will nontheless get you around... help you put the slam down on some bad guys.... .. and
maybe even get you out of trouble faster than you get into it.... . and with it;s ability to land and take off
from most any roadway..... you could stop off at the diner for a break from the action then get back into
the air whenever you were ready..... .........
awesome....... i like it.... 
.... if i ever get super rich and find myself in control of my own country i am
gonna buy one... or maybe a whole fleet of them... ... but don;t expect to see me up there in the sky flying one.
.... ..i;m scared to death of flying...even in a commerical airline.... ... i have to be medicated to incognizance
to even agree to board an airplane..... so why do i love flying machines from all time periods... and love
watching videos of all these fighter jets in action?. .. i don;t know.... ..... it;s just another one of the unsolved
mysteries of life..... .. 
and... by the way.... how did you like what i wrote about the gripen?.... do you think i could have a made a career out of writing advertisements or commericals?...
... nah... me neither.... .... i just barely convinced myself to buy one... .. and i could never afford it anyway......
the most expensive weapon program ever undertaken by the united states....
the F-35 stealth... which the U.S. hopes will become the same kind of multi-role
multi-service fighter the F-4 Phantom once was... but which the 40 + year old F-16
defeated in mock aerial combat every time they went up in the air together for testing.....
.... one thing certain though... it does look and sound awesome in these videos...
